Katya is an active music and theater educator in New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.  She has been a visiting faculty/musical director at Temple University, where she taught music theory and lyric-writing classes, in addition to her work as a musical director and accompanist.  She also served as an interim accompanist/coach at University of the Arts, and had been a staff accompanist/coach at Westminster Choir College and NYU.

 

Katya is a New York City Teaching Artist. She has taught in public and parochial schools through the Metropolitan Opera Guild, LeAP, and Education Through Music.  She is a staff musical director at Black Box Studios, and is on the faculty at the Bronx House Community Music School.  Katya spends her summers as a piano faculty member at the Usdan Center for the Arts.
